B y the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

  1. Understand the elements of the novel.
  2. Identify the characters in the story.

Activities

  1. Teacher talks about the elements of the novel to students.
  2. Teacher shows the cover of the novel to elicit responses from students.
  3. Students list the characters in the story.
  4. Students attempt the exercises in the worksheet given.
  5. Class discussion.

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

- write a letter of complaint using the notes given.

Activities

  1. Teacher presents the topic of the lesson.
  2. Students are given the handouts.
  3. Teacher asks students to talk about the notes in the task given.
  4. Students tell the complaints and the features of the letter.
  5. Students are asked to rearrange the paragraphs into order to form a complete letter.
  6. Students are asked to write the letter in the correct format.
