- complete the following sentences with the gerunds of a suitable verb.
Activities
1. Teacher presents the topic of the lesson.
2. Teacher explains what gerunds mean (verbs used as nouns by adding –
     ing to the verb stem, e.g. eat + ing = eating)
3. Teacher gets the students to complete the following sentences with the
     gerund of a suitable verb.
4. Students check their answers.
