  2. Know the structure of the poem by identifying the number of sentences in the poem.
  3. Understand the literal meaning of the poem by paraphrasing.

1. The students recite the poem in the class.

2. Teacher and students discuss the pattern of the poem.

3. Teacher and students discuss the literal meaning of the poem sentence by sentence.

4. Students copy the notes.

4. Students draw pictures and copy the notes given.
